DAN_CE_LLO Landscapes Of My Inner Diaspora

Since their debut in 2015 at the Wiener Konzerthaus, Ana and Rosalie regularly perform at renowned festivals and concert halls: Gasteig Munich, Posthof Linz, Prinzregententheater, Lange Nacht des Tanzes Carinthia, Meridian Festival Bucharest, Murten Classics, Austrian Cultural Forums...

Using modern performance techniques on her cello, Ana creates a unique sound world: “Multicello”, an orchestral polyphony from a single instrument. Her repertoire presents exhilarating fusion of classical and modern music, showcasing Ana's virtuosity and unique ability to connect the past and present.

Rosalie improvises based on a few predetermined tasks/scores that can relate to the music, space, movement or an object and also incorporates elements of the space and surroundings into her performance.

It is the aspect of improvisation that breathes special life into this duo and is reflected in a deep connection, a genuine 'vibrating with each other’. Improvisation in dance, in music, but above all in reacting to one another. The result is a refreshing performance that is entirely dedicated to the essence of this connection between dance and music, which has been practiced since living memory.

The program revolves around dramaturgical storytelling rather than focusing on a specific era, with a special emphasis on women composers alongside Ana's original compositions and transcriptions.
